The Silent Law of Karma

I have been thinking a lot about karma lately. So much so, I even took it to social media to see what other people in my life thought. The overwhelming consensus was that karma interacts with us on an individual level. The majority of the people I spoke with agreed that on some level what you put in you get back out in equal measure. For example if you envision karma is stored in a bowl people believe they get back what they put into the bowl.

I am apt to believe that the concept of individual karma may be a little short sided because as one friend in particular pointed out their abuser is still walking around unscathed as if all his negative and destructive actions just never happened. Which means the idea of individual karma is just a logical fallacy, especially since we live in a global world where we are all connected.

For karma to be logical and explain why good things happen to bad people and good things happening to bad people I submit the following theory. If you were to take that same karma bowl and instead of it being a singular person’s bowl of  karma it is the world’s karma bowl. Then every single person’s karma is poured into the bowl and is mixed together. Then the mixed karma is divvied back out to each person in equal measure to how much they put into the bowl. This answers the question of why good things happen to horrible people and horrible things to good people. This leads me to believe that the only way to rid the world of negative karma is for every living being to only put positive karma into the bowl.

Yes Nick, I know this doesn’t fit with the law of karma that finds Its origins in eastern philosophy, but I find this take more agreeable than the normal western bastardization of eastern philosohy.
